I saw online most people resorted to process lasso and saw that was a super cool program.Įxcept this is much simpler and easier for me to get going, and it uses much less CPU overhead (basically 0% for the 7950x3D). I also had weird issues where alt tabing out of a game will switch the game onto CCD1, and tabbing back to the game creates a blip or weird stutter as the thread management tries to swap the game between CCDs. Windows would put everything onto the cache CCD, even when no game is running. I had some issues with my bios bugging the threadmanagement when PBO is enabled. Unlike some apps it actually is both useful and can assist you to learn about the inner wrongs of your CPU and RAM.This is a little project I tossed together for fun after getting an AMD 7950x3D cpu. It does have a fairly steep learning curve, but is well worth it.

I liked it so much I bought it, with Bitcoins!!!!! And the publisher is really generous by allowing me to install the license on more than one PC. As far as boosting my gaming, the Unpark Cores feature in it helped a lot, gaining me around 20FPS in games like Guild wars 2 and Tomb Raider 2013.

So, I went ahead and installed it.and my jaw dropped! It really made a difference on my 8 year old rig, where as before it would be a battle to use a window right after coming out of a full screen program, with Process Lasso, it was instant. And discovered the standalone tool, but also the same tool embedded in Process Lasso.
I came across it when I was looking for a way to unpark my aging Quad Core CPU's cores. That was my experience with Process Lasso. However occasionally you get pleasantly surprised. You know how it is, you read about things that can help make your pc run better etc, and you're always sceptic.
